Kraków’s musical heritage is world-renowned. Visitors to the city between 15th and 31st August will be able to experience the musical traditions first hand during the 38th Music in Old Cracow International Festival. A major international event in the classical music calendar, artists from around the world are featured, alongside the presentation of both young and established Polish talent. Creating a ‘musical journey’ through Kraków in a variety of historical venues, the festival will recall great composers including Heinrich FInck and Grzegorz Gerwazy Gorczycki amongst others.
If you’re lucky enough to be in town, get yourself a ticket for the finale concert on 31st August, which will take place within the dramatic Gothic interiors of the Church of St Catherine. Glorious sounds will be heard from the Beethoven Academy Orchestra under the baton of Maciej Tworek.
